YOU FOUND IT! (Hints and tips)

by Generations on Line Staff

Using this tutorial you can master an online newspaper!

Feel free to use this practice paper to explore and see how a digital paper "works." You may elect to explore on your own OR you might want to test your "online newspaper skills" with our guided "skills test" (details below).

Either way, here are a few things to keep in mind as you are exploring:

1. Headlines are usually links - especially when only a few sentences of the article are showing.

2. You will find links in the "Menu" that will take you to pages you can't get to otherwise.

3. While you may not find a visible link to the newspapers home page (Front Page) while you are exploring, the "banner" at the top of the page with the newspaper's name is always a "home page" link.

4. When you are done exploring this practice paper, come back to this page and tap or click on the little "home picture" below or use the "Goodbye For Now" link in the "Menu."

Think you got this? Test your skills with a guided "scavenger hunt" in which you will be tasked with finding specific items in this practice paper. And, if you make it all the way through the test, there is a little surprise gift for you!
